Emmaline Bags

I just finished a cute little purse, wristlet, hold what ever this evening by designer. Emma line Bags . I learned how to install 2 zippers on a bag of which I have never done before. #emmalinebags The process went smoothly. She writes excellent directions and has great pictures to go along with the project. I also lined this and I have not done that on a wristlet either. So it's really good quality. Would recommend if you want to sew bags or get other cool sewing projects, she has something for you. She is also one of the designers in my new Bag Of the Month Club of which I got as a gift from my husband.. (thanks babe) Now I can sew a bag every month and not be board of what to do. Or just click on the Logo to your right for more information on what the Club is all about. I found out also as I was making this purse, the Adult Coloring book worked. I went slower. Read the directions better and in general was more relaxed doing the project.

Dress a Girl

I have joined an organization called Dress a Girl. What we do is sew dresses for babies and young ladies and pants for boys. I'm glad to part of such a community. Here are my first two Dress a Girl Dresses. The dresses are to be made via a pillow case pattern. You don't have to use pillow cases but you do have to use 100% cotton. Since i have a new embroidery machine I figured I had something to give and can dress up these cute dresses. You can purchase the labels or they will put them on the dresses. The label is a mark so the children are not targeted for traffickers or non nice people. here are my first two and I'm very excited to be able to do more.

I got it

Today, and last night, July 4th, I got the pattern to make myself a blouse that fits my bodice and looks and feels great. I had to take patience, and determination that this can work. I prayed.. I said God, you sent teachers to teach us how to do this that want to do this. I said, I want to do this. I can learn. Please help me get the information so I can use it and then I can pass it on and say, yes, it matters. I made like 4 prototypes of the blouse. There were all not so good. They weren't failures, they were lessons to be learned on how to follow directions. Kathleen Cheetham said, be patient. That's also what it takes. It does not matter if it takes a week or a day or a few hours to get something. The end result, as Rev. Walkers, said, you got your tea.. I got my tea and it's great. I feel very blessed and grateful for the lesson and I know, and I know, and I KNOW. I will learn how to make a pair of slacks following the directions and being patient and most of all, enjoying the body, I'm living in.. That is all. Take this class, Adjust the Bust, and you also will get right bodice for your body. It's not your body, it's the pattern companies. So, don't get discouraged.

Sure Fit Designs

Got my Sure Fit Designs and took my measurements. Bought the special fabric to make a tester of the bodice. Joanns had a good sale today and will the rest of the week at 50% off. Bought a lot of thread now .. I need more hooks to hold the thread.. :( any way. Ray bought me a lamp for the ironing area. Got some great fabric, Ankara from Love4Ankara and it's the original wax print from Holland. If you don't know about Ankara fabrics read some about it here. and The Origin of Ankara Beautiful fabrics, just beautiful. Looking forward to sewing it up this week. Namaste.
